Hidden Boattail by rustyironmonger Hidden Boattail by rustyironmonger
1970s Buick Riviera Gran Sport boattail coupe hiding among junker BMWs and random parts for several kinds of cars, in a collection near downtown Eugene, Oregon.

Property was cleaned up at the beginning of 2012, this car no longer exists as a whole car, but things like the rear window, GS wheels, rear bumper and a few small trim pieces have been sold by the buyer of the wreck after the chassis and lower body buckled when moved.

Image is not stock, do not use/reproduce without permission.

Poor Boattail! Considering these are popular among demolition derby drivers (tough front ends in particular), it must have been really rotten to break like that!

It's also my favorite Buick. Notable for being one of the very few Buicks I actually like. ;)

The car had what looked like a North Dakota dealer badge (severely encrusted with grime, mold and moss) on the back, and had been sitting in an overgrown corner of a junk-strewn, small dirt lot since the early 1980s. It was definitely very bad... I hate to imagine the interior on it, the guy who bought it said that there was moss inside it and that the carpet and seat padding ceased to exist a long time ago...

Ah, Upper Midwest car. That would explain how it rusted to the point of breaking like that since Oregon is part of the Coast That Rust Forgot. :P
