Annoying Orange by rustyironmonger Annoying Orange by rustyironmonger
It's orange, and the Lucas electrical system & British Leyland build quality are annoying. :P

Early 1974 MGB GT abandoned in a field near Cheshire, Oregon.

You could probably crumble it up in your bare hands.

LOL, that way I could get at the engine, transmission, axle, steering column, gauges, brake drums and front suspension to rebuild for a Kokopelli Lotus Eleven replica, dispose of the many body remnants by burying gunnysacks of crumbled, rusty British steel, take the seats to the landfill and sell the Rostyle wheels to a Capri or Cortina owner.

I could tell that this car was very rusty ever since I got out of the car and walked across the road to shoot it.

They were the most popular BL sports cars on export markets for a reason, after all... most Americans didn't take care of their import cars back in the day since they were inexpensive, and like Italy and France, Britain had precision engineering in their cars (a country known for making airplanes would of course offer it in cars) that did not suffer fools gladly, unlike German, Czech, Russian, Yugoslav and Japanese cars that stood up to almost anything but rust...

I believe this is a Canadian car judging from its bumpers, so it has probably been on salted roads... :(
